Share
Ingredients
- 12 jalapeños
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3 tbsp Jaca
- 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
- 12 slices bacon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Halve and seed the jalapeños.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, 1.5 tbsp Jaca, 1 tbsp maple syrup, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
- Wrap each filled jalapeño with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- Brush or drizzle the bacon-wrapped poppers with 1 tbsp maple syrup, then sprinkle evenly with the remaining 1.5 tbsp Jaca.
- Grill or bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes until the bacon is crispy, checking at 20 minutes to avoid over-browning.
Tips for Success
- Start with 1 tbsp maple syrup total (split between filling and topping); add the second tbsp only if more depth is desired.
- Monitor closely while cooking, as Jaca and maple syrup may caramelize faster.
- If the filling seems too loose, reduce maple syrup to ½ tbsp per section and add an extra ½ tbsp Jaca if needed.
Serving Size
